In podiatry, the short-term relief of the patient is often a priority as discomfort of the foot could result in the patient being immobile. (Ukcen.net, 2017). 1. It was appropriate for the social worker to intervene being that he would have to be the one to care for his wife after she is discharged. In which he wouldn't be able to if he is always intoxicated because she needs proper care and he wouldn't be able to provide it under this circumstance. Also, he would have to be the one to care for his two children while their mother is ill and if both of them are ill who would be able to care for them. So, for the social worker to intervene she was only looking at the patient's well being and her environment when she returns home.…

From the abnormal data I have found the priority health problems faced by the patient to be high pain levels and lack of pain management (Dear Et al, 2015), Mental health of patient being unable to see friends, family and lack of mobility (Giannouli Et al, 2016) and lastly the well-being of the patients ongoing health in regards to his nutrition (Leslie, Hankey.2015). There are two types of health care goals I could aim to demonstrate for this patient. The first is In-care goals being to reduce the pain by getting medication prescribed, work in conjunction with the doctor to send the patient to get medical treatments such as scans for his knee. I would ask the patient if I could call his family or next of kin for emotional support and to…
