If you had a chance to ask your teacher any questions, what would you ask them? Mr. Ezzard, the writing specialist at Biddeford Middle School, gave our class a chance to ask questions about his life. Mr. Ezzard has always enjoyed sharing his knowledge. He told us stories about the places he has been around the world, how he met his wife, Becky. He also told us about his interests and his unique job he had for the Peace Corp. Many years before he started teaching, he spent his childhood in Astoria, New York. He was born in 1965 and resided in Astoria until 1988. He often tutored his friends when they needed help during his childhood years. Science, math, and helping other people improve their writing were some of the ways he liked to help his friends with. He enjoyed teaching other people in general. Besides teaching other people, he also enjoyed learning more about various things. He liked learning about ancient civilizations, astronomy, and history. Mr. Ezzard went to Queens College for creative writing and American Literature. He graduated on 1987. After graduating, he worked for Walgreens in Alameda, California, then, Boston, Massachusetts. He signed up for the Peace Corp. Coincidentally, it was Becky who interviewed him for Peace Corp. He was sent to the Federated States of Micronesia after passing the interview. Although, before he was sent there, Peace Corp trained him how to teach. There, he taught English to children that were 13-15 years old. He, then, stayed there for two years. After the two years, he applied to Peace Corp to teach again. He was sent to the Solomon Islands for another two years. Although, when he went to the Solomon Islands, he was with his wife, Becky.
