I am Ferdinand Magellan and I am writing this letter to you in regards to the Spanish conquest, as you, were the head conquistador in this account. I must say I am appalled by your actions towards the Aztec civilisation and the way you deemed it right to murder them all.
I heard from my advisers that you, who was a great man before your actions, murdered many Aztecs in your efforts to convert them to Catholicism. It says clearly in the bible “thou shall not commit murder” But yet, in your quest to convert these innocent people, you slaughtered more then who became catholic! Yes, I understand from other peoples account that they too, slaughtered their own, but they in their own way they, as we believe in Christ and our God, believe in their own religion. Mr Cortes’, imagine it the other way round, Picture that, the Aztecs came over here to Spain and invaded and killed all of us and your family.
