I chose to analyze Mr. Clark’s speech from the movie Lean on Me. I believe the thesis statement is to appoint the staff in areas of the school to help improve the children’s education. The main point is Mr. Clark was elected to become the new Principle at Eastside High School; where it was defectively rundown and infested with crime. This lead to the school being overrun by drug dealers and causing the students fail their state test. Having failed their test repeatedly, the school was on the brink of being closed. I have concluded that Mr. Clark speech would fall under the topic order organizational pattern. His speech was authentic and straight to the point. His supporting material was from the students test scores, and school appearance.
