Mr Alonzo Case Study

CPAC extended a job offer to Ms. Alonzo at the GS-06 step 1 leave (see email traffic below) and he is requesting a higher salary.

If you would like to pursue the higher step for Mr. Alonzo, I'll need a signed superior qualification justification memorandum. I've attached a sample for your convenience along with the regulatory guidance. Based on the general pay table (attached), you may request approval to offer an annual salary between $40,150-$52,199. COL Burlingame is the approving authority for this request.

The justification memorandum should highlight Mr. Alonzo's educational and work experience and state why an elevated step is being offered instead of, or in addition to a recruitment incentive. Should you have any questions, please
