Today’s music has evolved tremendously since when music was first discovered in the middle ages. Now we have musicians like Beyonce, Alicia Keys, and Adele who changed the whole sound of music: different messages, beats, and style. Artists today are just as creative as the composers before them; Acapella artists sing with no music, other artists use techno or Dubstep, a type of electronic dance music. However, these artists would not have it so easy like they do today if the people that came before them did not set the tone. One artist in particular became famous just for his amazing compositions at an outstanding young age. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was one of them, a composer from the Classical era (1750-1820).
Mozart was born on January 27th, 1956 in Salzburg Austria. According to Stanley Sadie, the author of “Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart” written for the Encyclopedia Britannica, Mozart was one of the only two children that survived out of their five other siblings. Since Mozart and …show more content…
Months before he died, though still ill, he continued to compose, he was optimistic about his future and wrote “Masonic Cantata and directed it’s performance on November 18th” (less than a month before his death). After this he was then bedridden (when you are confined you to your bed until you get better). Then, Mozart got better for a day, then died two days later (Britannica). Even though he held a major role in the Classical era, and even later on in history, he was buried in a common unmarked grave with no headstone, also they did not really give him a proper funeral. According to the BBC for famous people, they state Mozart left us 41 symphonies, funny operas, serious opera, formal church music, and other amazing pieces.
