With a strong education system the country can prosper. The children and youth of the nation are going to soon be running the world, so they all must be educated. Mozambique does not have a strong education program. UNICEF reports the male literacy rate of ages 15-24 is 79.8 percent and the literacy rate of females 15-24 years of age is 56.5 percent. The internet is only available to a select few people, only 4.8 percent. Internet is where people can look up questions that they may not know the answer to and is one of the most powerful ways to gain knowledge. The diseases in Mozambique kill off many people every single year and it is just getting worse, the water is contaminated and the living situations in Mozambique are not ideal. The main issue though is education, because without education people will not know how to cure diseases or improve the living conditions. The first thing that must be done is to educate the youth with what the elders already know and the new information that they are going to teach the elders. Once education is taken care of then everything else will follow. Education is the starting ground and the children of today are our future, so how do we expect to make any progress if we do not educate them. In conclusion, Mozambique needs to emphasize to their whole country the importance of education in their country and finishing school. This will then lead to more educated people who will be able to help with the many other issues facing Mozambique
