Growing up, my family and I weren’t very religious by any means. My parents grew up in Catholic families, but when they moved away from their families, they moved away from God too. Every time we were stationed in a new place, my parents always blamed not going to church on the military and how we would always be moving. My sister and I didn’t mind this, because we didn’t really know what church was, and didn’t understand the meaning of it, but when we moved to Louisiana in 2012, I met a friend that would change this. I met this girl Samantha, who seemed to be in a few of my classes.…

Melanie, Violet, Summer, Mark, Travis, Justin and myself, America, have been friends since freshmen year at Guelph University in Guelph Ontario, Canada. Every year we promised each other that we’d go away for reading week, but as the years went on none of us had the time or energy or money to go anywhere, we all just wanted to stay local, and sleep in the comfort of our hometown, Guelph. As senior year was approaching and the thought of all of us going our separate ways, we decided that we’d go to Montreal for the week, the number one party city in Canada since the lifestyle is very easygoing and carefree especially among the young crowd. I remember the night before the big day of being a freshmen in highschool, and adjusting to the new routine seemed awfully strange to me. Going from middle school to highschool I would say to be an adventure and most memorable moment. Back when I had to wake up early in the morning to catch the school bus, and even also catch my breakfast. Some days when I don’t have breakfast, I would have to struggle through the day with hunger pains, and lack of focus. By this, I would sometimes fall asleep in class just to get over the pain.…
