Moving To Hawaii-Personal Narrative

In 2001, I’ve made the biggest and hardest decision that changed my life and

that was the day I moved to the mainland from Hawaii. I’ve hesitated to do so but

something was telling me to do it to better my life. I kept telling myself, “Volmer!, it’s too

risky, but you have to trust your instinct and go”. Being away from my family is very hard

but if I didn’t make these decisions, than I wouldn’t be where I’m at right now. Do I have

any regrets? My answer would be no. I know one regret that I have is moving away from

my beloved family. Moving to Indiana had opened better opportunities for me, the cost

of living is very affordable and not a struggle and it gave me the second chance to finish

school and graduate to have a better myself.

I thought I was in lala land and that everything was half off. I told

myself, “You have to remember that you’re not in Hawaii anymore, Volmer.” Last, I

needed a transportation so I had to buy me a reliable vehicle. My friend Thelma told me

that we had buy here pay here lots that i can go to if i was looking for something cheap

and reliable. I wondered and asked, “What the hell is a buy here pay here lot?”. She

explained what it was and I went to got me a car.

Last but not least, I found a school that gave me a second chance to graduate to

better myself in the future. Like, Attending The Excel Center was the best thing that ever

happened to me beside moving here. To add to that, the teachers are very helpful to

make sure that I understand my class works. Last, while learning and trying to graduate,

they offer free great certifications that are sponsored by other companies to help me in

the future. I believe that as long as I work hard and play hard, anything is Possible.

In conclusion, moving here is the best thing that ever happened to me. I am now

a Quality Inspector and I’ve worked hard to get to my position. It also made me a very

independent person. I also can’t wait to graduate and start my new journey to reach
