In Egypt I was treated differently in school and by many others. In Egypt I was treated as an American and as such I felt left out even though my family's origin is Egyptian. In Egypt I was called an American and not an Egyptian since I came from another country and I liked being called an American. My family traveled back to America after 7 years living in Egypt and In America I was called an Egyptian and I did not prefer that. I have heard that moving to another country is a good thing, but how is it a good thing if you’re treated differently? I have noticed the way people look at you differently when you say you came here from another country and they usually ask if you could understand their language and that you can speak it well/bad. When moving to another country, you’ll always be seen differently as well as how you are
