Moving To America Research Paper

Going to a new school is hard for any child; unfamiliar places can be intimidating, new people can be unapproachable and the more advanced classes may even seem impossible. It is a very big social change that forces children to get out of their comfort zone and let new people into their personal bubble, because after all no one wants to be completely alone in this scary, dark world: everybody wants to belong. Fitting in can be more difficult if the child does not speak the same language as the people around them. Making friends and communicating becomes almost impossible until the child learns the language that they have been submerged into. Moving to a different country can help a child develop as a person and expand their horizons, but such a drastic change can also lead to anxiety and social problems later in life. New language and a new way of learning can at first be confusing, but by jumping right into the new environment is the best way to adjust and adapt. Will a child benefit from moving to a different country to go to school or will it be too traumatizing and difficult for him to handle?

There is no set way of how a child will react or how well he will prosper when he is exposed to a new environment, but there are certainly evident pros and cons to each opinion. The only thing that determines how well a child will fit into the environment is himself, because finding a place where you truly belong in a new school, or in a different country is an extremely difficult
