Moving to a new school is a hard thing to do; I should know. It’s a very slow adjustment. I have moved schools five times since first grade. Each time moving has gotten harder. I move, make new friends, then move again. Each time I move, I become more shy and closed off than before. What is the point of trying to make friends if you just move after you become close?
The first time I moved schools, in the first grade, wasn’t that big of a deal. I don’t really remember it, but it was still a bit of an adjustment. I attended that school up through the fifth grade. I made friends there but in the fifth grade, I began getting bullied, which continued up until I moved. The bullies would call me names every single day, I would cry in class and then get in trouble for not paying attention. I would try talking to teachers about it but nobody would do anything. In the fifth grade, I was sent to the office a lot. My teacher would also make me go in the hall and write the preamble to the constitution, I wrote it so many times that I still have it memorized. It was way harder than my old school. Not only was it hard because of the homework and tests, but I was also trying to make friends there. I also struggled a lot with my grades, coming from a public school to a charter school was not easy. I had also began getting bullied again, but this time it was worse because the girl who bullied me would threaten to hit me and try to fight me. I ended up getting held back in sixth grade because of my grades. The bullying only got worse from there, I was made fun of and called dumb each and everyday because of the fact that I got held back. All my old friends were now a grade above me and rarely talked to me. The bullying only got worse and had no end in sight. I moved after seventh

Along with that, paramedics, tow truck drivers, and others who need to get out of their vehicles to help people along busy roadways have been hurt or killed when they were hit by a vehicle while working along a busy roadway. Because of that, Move Over Laws have been implemented in all 50 states with Hawaii being the most recent state to adopt a Move Over Law in July 2012.…

Moving schools away from all of my friends should’ve been an appalling experience, surprisingly, it was a blessing in disguise. I went to Agnes Baptist Elementary from kindergarten to 5th grade and I had friends that I've known since I was 3. I loved it there and knew the school like the back of my hand. In the result, I moved and I went to Savage Middle School, a school that had 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.…
