The first time I moved schools, in the first grade, wasn’t that big of a deal. I don’t really remember it, but it was still a bit of an adjustment. I attended that school up through the fifth grade. I made friends there but in the fifth grade, I began getting bullied, which continued up until I moved. The bullies would call me names every single day, I would cry in class and then get in trouble for not paying attention. I would try talking to teachers about it but nobody would do anything. In the fifth grade, I was sent to the office a lot. My teacher would also make me go in the hall and write the preamble to the constitution, I wrote it so many times that I still have it memorized. It was way harder than my old school. Not only was it hard because of the homework and tests, but I was also trying to make friends there. I also struggled a lot with my grades, coming from a public school to a charter school was not easy. I had also began getting bullied again, but this time it was worse because the girl who bullied me would threaten to hit me and try to fight me. I ended up getting held back in sixth grade because of my grades. The bullying only got worse from there, I was made fun of and called dumb each and everyday because of the fact that I got held back.
