Moving Jobs Overseas Research Paper

There has been a huge controversy on whether moving jobs and corporations overseas are in the best interest for the U.S. economy. The United States has always had one of the most competitive economies and workforce in the world. Many would argue that moving jobs overseas is beneficial for the United States because we can get away with hiring workers at very low wages, we do not have to give the employees benefits, there are not safety regulations that have to be fulfilled, and foreign taxes do not have to be paid when certain products are exported back to the United States. Many people are under the impression that the growth of the economy and wealth in the United States has grown dramatically, that so have American jobs. However, others would argue that moving U.S. jobs and corporations overseas is not “righting our economy”, on the contrary it is only decreasing jobs for Americans in the United States. If moving jobs and corporations overseas is really affecting jobs in the United States, what should the United States do to prevent that from happening?
