I am sitting in my grandmother's living room two houses down from my uncle, when my phone starts ringing. I pick it up and see who it is, it is my Uncle Steve. He called to see if I could come over and help him pack the house for the move. Of course I agree to help and go over to his house.
When I got there, it is just my Uncle Steve, Aunt Kat, cousin Hunter, and her friend. All the other kids are working or at daycare. They ushered me up to Liam’s room to pack up his stuff because he is too young

One Defining Moment The house makes me feel safe -- cozy even. The loud chime of the large grandfather clock pressed against the wall, and the tinkling sound of wind chimes blowing along with the breeze feeds my illusion of security. I can only hope karma won’t catch up with me. I gaze at the many photos I have collected over the past year, remembering each one as if it just happened yesterday. My mind wanders, transporting me through the various memories of my life, the past mingling with the present.…
