First of all, theater food is way too expensive. They want you to pay an extravagant amount for the snacks than what they are really worth. “Movie theater popcorn, in particular, has been labeled as one of America’s biggest rip-offs, with some theaters marking up the price as much as 900 percent.” (O’Neill 16) So if a bag of popcorn typically costs $2, it could cost up to $18 at the theater. Some people would much rather have something healthy. “...the options at the concession stand are almost always junk food…” (O’Neill 16) The people that would much rather snack on a bag of carrots alternative of a bag of gummy worms do not have that choice, so they eat nothing at all. If the theater is going to ban outside food, they should at least include foods that everyone would enjoy.
However, some people think it is wrong to sneak food into the movies because that is how they make their money. If they do not make the money, they won't be able to show movies, and then how would you feel about theater snack
