2. The preview starts off showing the two main characters played by Chris Pratt (Jim) and Jennifer Lawrence (Aurora). It shows a brief picture of a space station and then the two characters kiss, and then it shows the silhouettes of them looking out a window into outer space and seeing a sun. It then cuts to the title of the movie. Then next scene shows Jim working on a remote control robot, which he guides to Aurora who is sitting in another room drink coffee. She greets the robot and it hands her a piece of paper, the camera zooms in on the paper which reads “dinner tonight? Jim” she asks the robot if he’s asking her on a date and Jim nods the robots head. She grabs the pen from the robot makes a choice and it leaves. The camera switches back to Jim who comments that she didn’t look very impressed. It flashes the logos for the production company. The scene I chose is at 0:31 timestamp, this is an interior scene, it shows Jim and Aurora sitting together at a bar, the bartended is the only other person in the scene. The setting is a bar with fancy barstools, there is a lot of rich red and gold tones in this scene which makes it seem like an upscale type place. On the wall you can see what looks like a solar system, and behind the bar are very well lit shelves that hold alcohol bottles. The bartender is dressed in a red suit with a bow tie, Jim has on a dark grey suit, and aurora is wearing a very classy black dress. This scene is photographed using a long shot, to provide you with time to look at the bar, and all of the details. The characters are not the main focus in the scene even though they are present. This scene establishes their relationship, and also how alone they
