According to National Law Center on Homelessness & Poverty it was estimated that “Over the last decade, there have been more than 600 attacks against homeless people”. These figures mean that living on the street makes homeless people more susceptible to be abuse also the real Mr. Gardner was physical and emotional abuse by his stepfather beating his mother, brother and sister and even Chris. Experiencing this abuse as child could influence other children to abuse by victimizing other but Chris didn’t grow up an injured or abusive man.
