SUMMARY OF THE INTERNSHIP

The story is based on Google’s approach to employment. The movie is about two middle-aged men whose company has shut down and therefore are unemployed. The two men (Billy McMahon and Nick Campbell) come across an internship at Google. The first interview takes place through an online video call and gone through to the final internship process which determines their final position in the company. McMahon and Campbell are seen as outsiders on the first day because of their age and qualification level. All the other interns have just graduated from college and belong to prestigious institutions. McMohan and Campbell find it difficult to settle in and are not easily accepted by their fellow team members. Later, they

MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP IN “THE INTERNSHIP” The Internship showed many aspects of good and bad management skills as well as good leadership skills. The first scene in The Internship is when Mr Chetty (Aasif Mandvi) addresses the group of interns shows us Mr.Chetty’s good skills of communication as he clearly communicates the purpose of the internship as well as the requirements for the interns. He also is able to control the group and effectively, and without wasting time is able to let the interns make their groups and addresses them with details later on.
A scene, which shows us bad management skills, is when Lyle (Josh Brener) is unable to bring discipline within the team, he is unable to control the team when required. Lyle as a team manager is also unable to motivate his team to achieve their objectives causing them to lose many of the challenges.
Billy McMohan and Nick Campbell portray good leadership skills when they are able to motivate the team to work together and achieve their goals. The rest of the team members are able to follow Billy and Nick due to the motivation installed in
