Movies can give a reflection on life when it comes alive in the movie screen. The concept of the movies, and based upon the character’s emotions can make a fictional story seem real. About last Night was directed by Steve Pink taken place in Los Angeles, California. Attracting young adults to see how can four different personalities can come together, and impact each other’s lives once they get into a relationship. The film is a remake of the 1986 film of the same name; both are based on the 1974 play Sexual Perversity in Chicago by David Mamet. Both films differ from the play by substituting a reconciliation of the couple at the end rather than a break-up. The great poet Rainer Maria Rilke, knew and acknowledged this truth when he wrote, nearly 100 years ago that “to love another human being is perhaps the most difficult of all our tasks” but once you find the right person, it’s something one should cherish forever. Furthermore, “About Last Night” is a romantic- comedy genre based on two couples in the modern world. The storyline goes back, and forth from different angles by showing the two couples, both with opposite relationship dynamics. The “traditional couple” Debbie, and Danny have a more romantic connection. On the contrary, they’re not as outgoing as their friends- Bernie and Joan.
