Two evil cobras named Nag and Nagaina are the antagonists in the story. These snakes target animals that live in the garden outside a young boy named Teddy’s bungalow. Rikki-Tikki has a feud with the cobras Nag and Nagaina. Another similar character is the tailorbird, Darzee, and his wife. There are many things that are similar to the characters in Rikki-Tikki, nevertheless, there are some differences. One difference is about the main character, Rikki-Tikki. In the book, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, Rikki-Tikki roams the gardens at night and is a very wild creature.
