Movie Essay: A Place For Ace

A Place for Ace Ace was a strong 10-year old boy who loved living in the country. He enjoyed the smell of the trees from the woods, the honeysuckle in summer and fresh pies his mom would make and set on the windowsill to cool. The stars at night were so bright you had to shut the shades to get some rest because if they were left open, it appeared to be day time. Ace spent much of his time running through the countryside chasing animals and farming with his dad. Every once in awhile Ace and his family had to travel to the city to pick up supplies and equipment for the farm. The family made the most of their time in the city by taking in a movie, window shopping and catching a local football game. Ace didn’t understand the game of football but he sure enjoyed running and would try and keep up with each team as they ran up and down the field.
As time grew on, Ace got stronger and faster. The family no longer counted on the horses or cars to get places, they let Ace run the errand for them. He would run so much and so fast that he would wear out a pair of sneakers in two days. Ace wanted to help pay for the expense of his shoes so he got a job as a hired-hand on neighboring farms.
