This movie is able to give us influence and insight into our own lives. This movie teaches us that we need to follow our hearts. That we shouldn’t listen to what other people are telling us to do. We need to take what we want to do into consideration. Just because you have the possibility to have a high paying desk job that lifestyle isn 't for everyone. We should do what we want with our lives and shouldn’t let anything stop us. Another theme in this movie is the experience. The late Robin Williams character, Sean sums it up with this quote "I can 't learn a single thing from you I can 't read in a ****ing book, unless you want to talk about you, who you are, and I 'm fascinated, I 'm in. But you don 't want to do that, do you sport? You 're terrified of what you might say." This quote made a real impression on this theme for me. Sean is saying that he cannot learn anything about Will unless Will shares his experiences with him. It tells us that the word important is seen differently from everyone. In the movie, Will has to make a huge decision. Should he go follow the love of his life to California or should he stay in Boston and make money? Ultimately in the end of the movie, Will makes his choice and follows his gut feeling. What the movie teaches us about important decision is that there is no right or wrong when it comes to making these decisions, it 's all a matter of perspective and personal choice. Some people may think that making millions of dollars is more important than following your love to California. The ultimate question the movie wants us to ask ourselves when making decisions like these is ‘What will we regret when it 's all said and done?’.
