What if two popular movies share too many things in common? Every cinematic work needs to be unique in its own way to attract the audience. For example, the Harry Potter series and The Lord of The Rings. These two movies have become very popular in the past 10 years and gained most of the viewer’s attention sharing a lot of similarities. Although these movies have different authors, they gain a lot of popularity by having similar themes, character design, plots, and villains, but it is also necessary to understand the differences between them because is essential to understand and evaluate each movie for its uniqueness First, there are a number of similarities between these two movies. Both of them start from a birthday of the main character, Harry Potter from Harry Potter movies and Frodo from The Lord of the Rings. Two young males with dark hair and bright eyes who find themselves in a magical world of adventures and were previously ignored by the public. They were both orphaned. Harry’s parents were killed by the evil wizard Voldemort, and Frodo’s parents were drowned. Like Harry, Frodo lives with his uncle until old, long grey-bearded wizards come after them. Professor Dumbledore, who guides Harry and his friends to destroy Voldemort, and Gandalf who guides Frodo, so that Frodo can destroy the evil ring that …show more content…
The conflict occurs between two friends in both movies after that Ron and Sam leave Harry and Frodo. However, Ron comes back to Harry at the very dangerous moment and helps him. The same does Sam. He comes and saves Frodo from the giant spider. And finally, in both movies the creatures do not call the actual name of the evil, because of the fear of it. They are usually call them “Dark Lord”. At the end of both movies, both evils were killed after destroying their source of evil power - Horcruxes and The One
