Each character is connected either by name or the traits of the character. For example, Perry in Warm bodies was Julie’s love interest. Though the name is similar to Paris, the relationship wasn’t as Julie loved Perry in the film but Juliet didn’t love Paris, though was going to give it a try. Mercutio can be seen as relatively close to Romeo=, making M or later on known as Malcolm as being R’s best friend. Though Grigio is not seen as often in the film, he is the father of Julie and has a big impact as ruler of the secluded city they live in. He makes an impact on Julie’s life like Capulet and Juliet, either way both disobey their fathers anyway. The Capulet's wife is mentioned within the film but only briefly as she has died.( possibly meaning became a zombie) Finally, Nora, who is Julie’s best friend is seen as The Nurse. She is very close to Julie in the film and just as the Nurse is with Juliet. Both Nora and the Nurse are one in the same as they both try to get Julie and Juliet with Romeo and R. In the film Nora actually says that she wants to be a nurse, making the connection to The Nurse in Romeo and Juliet strand out. In the end of the film, spoilers, she does become a nurse helping those who are zombies become humans

"Wanted" is basically from a comic book that has limited series written by Mark Miller and J.G Jones, it is about an amoral protagonist (Wesley Gibson) who is discovered as the heir of super assassin. Russian director, Timur Bekmambetov, he is the cream of the crop, he turns this comic into a movie that make the viewers not sit still and make their adrenaline and cortisone levels spike with the actions. Bekmambetov used the similar style of shots and angles with his previous movie, Night watch. It's more to wide angle (long shot), so we can see the terrifying background like one of the scenes in the torture room, where Wes has been beaten up by the butcher. Not even that, there are many special effects that Bekmambetov applies in this movie, like slow-motion with sound effects that certainly provides that "ouch" reaction from audiences.…

The Breakfast Club is one of my favorite movies of all times; as I was a junior in high school when this film was released in 1985. Detention was a common punishment; however, holding the detention sessions on Saturdays was controversial. Many individuals were angered by having to give up their time on the weekends. Therefore, the internal rebellion included not only students; but, parents and school facility as well. By the time my sister entered high school in 1988, Woodhaven High, no longer held Saturday detention sessions.…

Director D.W. Griffith employs a variety of innovative filmmaking techniques, under the categories of mise-en-scene, cinematography and editing, to tell his narrative in Death’s Marathon. I will focus on a few techniques that stood out to me as essential stylistic decisions that progressed the narrative. Firstly, the costumes and how they distinguished between characters, and events; secondly, the blocking and character movements and how they expressed emotion; thirdly, the lighting and how it distinguished between locations and guided our focus; and finally the editing and how it created suspense in the climax. These are only a few stylistic decisions that Griffith 's made, each one is equally important in developing the film form, however,…

In 1967 a year after the first release of the book In Cold Blood by Truman Capote Richard Brooks released a film adaptation of the nonfiction novel. Both the movie and the book were based on a real life murder of a family of four living in Kansas City. Dick Hickock and Perry Smith, two men who had previously been to jail, were the central focus of the novel. Richard Brooks infused strikingly similar dialogue between characters and key events into the movie, although many minor details were lost. Because of the extraction of these details the overall mood is less intense than the book.…

Introduction Paragraph From before the moment Juliet and Romeo meet, their love is entwined with death. Romeo senses a fatal end approaching as he considers going to the party at Capulet’s house where he will meet Juliet for the first time. Likewise, as she sends her nurse to discover Romeo’s identity, Juliet thinks of her death. The feud between Montagues and Capulets creates a world where the lives of the members of the houses revolve around fights and deaths that make it impossible for Juliet and Romeo’s love for each other to lead anywhere good. Instead, their love brings chaos, violence, and the deaths of their friends and of themselves.…
