Movie Analysis: The Power Of The Human Touch

The idea of the movie is to show how powerful the human touch is. How a simple hug can heal the deepest wounds. The movie would be chronicling a boy’s life who has the ability to heal someone with a touch. The movie begins with a woman giving birth. Her husband is by her side, relentlessly holding her hand. She’s having twins. She pushes and pushes until one baby comes out. She names him Sam. She pushes for the other one but, something’s wrong. The doctors find that the baby died in the womb and not only that, the mother is now bleeding excessively. The doctors perform a procedure on her as the husband holds Sam. The father comforts Sam as he cries out.
Six years later, his father has a new wife who treats Sam like he’s her own. They’re worried

He hasn’t checked his messages in months. His father finds him and tells him that Raina is pregnant in her third trimester. Sam leaves to go find Raina. Raina goes into labor a few days after. She goes to the hospital alone to have the baby. She pushes and pushes but something is wrong. She’s in more pain than she should be. She makes a decision to save the baby’s life over hers. Sam travels the country to get to her but when he gets there. The decision was already made. He visits his baby in the nursing room. He holds her and comforts her. Then he visits his wife. She’s been given an anesthetic and slowly dying. Sam holds her hand delicately. As Sam touches her hand flashes of aesthetic images goes through her mind, until she springs up. She doesn’t understand what happened but he hugs her. A few days later, Sam is about to leave the hospital. Looking slightly older. Raina catches him before he leaves and tries to get an explanation. He tells her everything. He tells her about the weight, the guilt, everything. Raina hugs him tightly and he cries overwhelmingly. Comforting him like a mother comforts a baby, with a mothers touch. He felt the weight of the world lift off
