The coming of age movie Secondhand lions is a family movie. It has a lot of comedy, drama and historic adventures. The movie was written and directed by Tim McCanlies and was released in September 19, 2003. He is known for his work in Secondhand Lions, The Iron Giant and Dennis the Menace Strikes Again. Jack. N. Green did the cinematography and is known for his work in Unforgiven, Serenity and other movies. Cinematography includes the lighting, wardrobe and momentum. It had considerably good momentum. The unlikely progressive relationships in all aspects aptly fit the title. It also kept us viewers oriented of how the shy boy Walter (played by Haley Joel Osment) evolves into a better individual. Haley Osment did a good job in portraying his role during his youth. He was forced by his mother Mae played by Kyra Sedgwick, to live with his great uncles Hub and Garth played by Robert Duvall and Michael Caine. At first they have a hard time, but then they warm up to each other. All of the characters did justice to their roles. Especially the role of the brother played by Robert Duvall was very well performed because he is a completely different individual in person. The growth of familial values is what stood out to me the most. The McCann brothers are supposed to be the cool guys who are hot blooded and hard headed. But as we get to know them better, we witness their genuine good personalities. There are four factors which must have caught the attention of the audience. Firstly, they used a real lion. Secondly, Robert (Hub) was so calm and composed when he was fighting the gangsters. In fact he offered them advice about how to fight. Thirdly, Kyra (Mae) exhibited her motherly love when she adhered to her son. Fourthly, at the end of the movie the Sheikhs grandsons come to acknowledge and honor their death. Nevertheless they prolonged the suspense to the very

    2) In the movie Dances with Wolves I thought that the cinematography was done very well throughout and that it was a very important aspect to the film’s success. As the movie progresses, beautiful scenery is captured and an old time in our history is portrayed. The reason why this film contains such great cinematography is because it allows us to visualize the story and create a very strong and emotional attachment for the characters. The film also was very successful in using the proper techniques of lighting and camera positions. The importance behind these two are huge because they determine the type of mood in which the film is captured.…

At least it does so for me. Final thoughts, I really liked this film. The acting is solid across the board with Kevin Gage standing out. His portrayal of a violent man, who delights in violent deeds is incredibly sincere. Not that anyone one else is the cast was slacking, but Gage stands out in memory where others, such as Shannon Eubanks does not.…

In the Seventies, the fifteen years old troublemaker and leader altar boy Tim Sullivan and his three great friends, Francis Doyle, Wade Scalisi and Joey Anderson, study in a repressive Catholic school, and they hate their nun-teacher Sister Assumpta. Aimee and Jaguar is a story that represents how under the Nazis the space of intimacy becomes also the space of danger. The movie thoroughly depicts the lesbian relationship between both Lilly and Felice and their opposing identities as an Aryan German who represents the womanhood of Germany and a fearful and daring Jew. The relationship they sought after carried with it great danger and so their love for one another is not one that could have been shared publicly, mainly due to the fatal penalties enforced by the Third Reich because of its opposition to homosexuality and the ongoing genocide against the Jew population. But this movie serves as more than just an opposition to the Third Reich Germany party. I would go as far as to say it also…

In the movie Lion, the cinematographer includes many creative shots and camera movements to enhance the audience's emotions and tell the story from a certain point of view. Cinematographer Greig Fraser captures these shots in order to display the emotion and piece together the stories through Saroo’s memories. One of the major techniques he uses to film these shots and make it more realistic is by taking the actors height into consideration. For instance, the memories Saroo has of himself as a child, those shots are filmed from the perspective of a three foot tall child.…

    Zootopi Movie Analysis

Based in a world of anthropomorphic animals, Zootopia (2016) revisits the buddy-cop animation genre to present a parable on real world issues of stereotyping, fear-mongering, prejudice and sexism. Zootopia depicts the perpetuation of race and gender inequality in the United States, and by denouncing it as being Western propaganda, the Chinese government discredits the global need for social upliftment of minorities. Zootopia simplifies the understanding of real world issues of stereotyping and discrimination by rooting character experience in familiar reality. Centralizing the narrative around Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin), the first ever bunny cop, and Nick Wilde (Nick Bateman), the movie intricately tackles the existence of gender and race based personal and institutional biases.…

The dialogs had a natural essence to them, nothing excessive. The characterization was very good, and having a cast with well-experienced actors like Anil Kapoor and Irfan Khan gave the whole cast a compact foundation. One character that stood out was Jamal’s older brother, Salim. He was selfish in the beginning but turned into a better person by the end of the movie. He was the one who took advantage of Jamal whenever he could, but he also helped Jamal in desperate times, and…

I personally enjoyed the film, although they suggested the events that were to occur later, I kept watching with enthusiasm because I wanted to see how they would play out. The diction that the brothers used throughout the film created a negative attitude towards them, although Winthorpe and Billy Ray were the ones to be involved in a legal mess, other characters gained sympathy. Ophelia and Coleman were the ones I was rooting for, they had a job of taking care of others needs from the beginning of the film, and were taken advantage of without receiving appreciation. The wealthy characters such as Penelope and her friends, through the diction and the events were not very liked. The story plaid on a serious issue, which was people’s overwhelming need to consume no matter who or how many people they took advantage of.…
