Whenever I was about to leave the house I always forgot to turn off the lights. I usually would leave them on, because truthfully I was too lazy. I have been very good at remembering to turn the lights off. Even at night when I get scared to walk the dark hallways, I still turn them off.
My second action was turning off the television and unplugging things. Again I was lazy too turn the television off, but I had a reason. I would keep it on as a night light at night, but I stopped doing that and made myself get use to sleeping in the dark. I started unplugging my elliptical, treadmill, and bike after my workouts too.
I noticed one rainy Sunday evening that my television turned off. I was more scared than curious, because I thought my house was haunted. We could be wandering around looking for another human being desperately. Hoping to find someone, but never will. Then dying like the bird, because the world around us has changed and we cannot adapt to the changes. If we do not change the way we are treating the world and the beautiful inhabitants it gives us we might as well dig our own graves. Digging our own graves might sound harsh to some, but it is reality. When the scene came on and all the class saw was fins upon fins of shark I was in shock. I had so many different thoughts going through my head. Thoughts such as why is this legal, how many sharks are here, and how many sharks are left? There was so many fins being dried and, my biggest question was why? My questioned was answered the people of China wanted shark fin soup. While this high demand for shark fin soup was going on, I think the people of china did not realize the inhumane killing of sharks was happening. They showed a scene where one of the black market sellers said “oh we kill humanely” and well they did not. They would catch the shark, cut all its fins off, and throw the shark back in the water. Allowing the shark to suffer and struggle to swim till it died. To me that is not
