Reflection On The Play Peter And The Startcatcher

Improved Essays
First, I would like to start off by saying I enjoyed the play, Peter and The Startcatcher. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the show from beginning to the ends. We went this past Saturday, March 26, which I had the time of my life. I have never been to a play at Trustus Theatre and I already want to go back again. The theatre was small but it was a pack night every seat was filled. The people at the theatre greeted us and were so honored to have me there. There was a wide variety of people in the audience, there were adults, older people and children. They all seem to be dress very casual. Everybody seem to look comfortable and some people even looked like they were on the dates. I think everyone came in with an open-mind and ready to see the play. …show more content…
I think they were successful because they added comedy, which made it fun to watch and easier to understand. The play was so well written that everything just came together. Also, I believe the goal was to keep the audience on their ties to include them into the play so it could seem like we were n a journey with them. In this way the author makes sure he engages the audience so they wouldn’t be left behind. Yes, overall I do think the artist achieved their goal. The attempt was worth while because this play ended up being amazing everything was perfect I honestly have nothing bad to say. In addition, all the character were believable it was like all of them were real. It was amazing how they stayed in character and not once get out. Especially when it came down to maintain the British accent, everybody stayed in character. The pirates were believable because of the rough accents and tongue rolls,. The three pigs were so funny, especial the one who kept talking about food. I felt for the pig who was an orphan he made his part so believable too. The teacher role tat you played was so believable because you nailed every single thing about your character. I could tell you really studied your part over and over, even though you’re a man you played that part so well. Also, Molly really stayed in character while playing a 13 year-old girl, she was so expressive and could tell she was enjoying her part in …show more content…

The whole entire time people stayed laughing, so overall I think it was a successful play, which the audience enjoyed. Yes, my experience led and long lasting impression. I am so stunned at how amazing the performance was. I am so amazed on how well you did playing your role as the teacher. I even noticed the music in the play, For example there were a few times when I heard songs being sung. I think the musical element adds crowd participation. Music is another form of entrainment that 's gets people going. Yes, I would totally go to the theatre again because I love this show and the comedy throughout the play. I would defiant go back to theatre as soon as possible. I am so glad I got to experience and go to my first actual play. This experience has opened me up to get even more interested into

The comical personalities all the characters had helped the audience become more intrigued in the story of this play. From this play, I liked that there was only one actor for each character. It made it easier to understand which character was which. The actors had different costumes, which made it easier to apprehend who was…

All I can say is, the story had somewhat of a quicker pace and sometimes harder to follow and small details could easily be missed, and the lighting was a tiny bit distracting when it flashed across the stage quickly. The use of sound effects was used to signify different things that caught the attention of the viewers and really added a special touch to the play. The play showcased beautiful and stunning singing which made the play more authentic, combined with the elaborate dances numbers truly made the show breathtaking and…

On the evening of Saturday October 8th, the cast of the play Fuddy Meers took the stage and put on a unique and exquisite performance. The play took place in the Temple Theatre which I found was a highly interesting venue. There were several different elements that I found greatly intriguing during the course of the ninety minute performance, however, there were a few elements that I felt were also lacking. The first element that I believed helped to add significance to the performance was the stage setup(1). The revolving setup of the stage was perfect for this play and it allowed much versatility for the characters during specific instances.…

On November 22nd , 2015 , I had attended a play “A servant of Two masters” that played downtown Pittsburgh at the O’Reilly theater, the play was directed by Ted Pappas. He had put together a creative and intriguing play, having actors stay spontaneous and interact with the audience, therefore no parts would be found boring nor dry. All the actors had held up their end of their roles quite well, by fully disguising themselves as that character they were suppose to be during the entire play. In the play “A Servant of Two masters” is about a girl Clarice who originally had an arranged marriage but was called off due to her fiancé death, who was Federigo Rasponi of Turin.…

All in all, the play did a tremendous job that represented the book well. Though there were a few mistakes that skewed characters’ personalities. Curley’s wife and Lennie were the major characters that were affected. Many of their actions were changed or even completely left out of the play. There was a scene that added more to the plot than the book, but it wasn’t a significant one.…

Overall, this show was fantastic. It had the element of audience interaction that not many plays really have and if they do, no theatre has it down like Pocket Sandwich. Before the show they have someone that greets you with a medium sized boat of popcorn that any newcomer would think to eat. They have more intentions for the popcorn than you’d generally expect, they actually want you to save it all and throw it at the cast members! Before the play began there was an actress that announced how we should properly throw popcorn at the cast members and what the general rules of thumb were for certain situations.…

This play was one of the longest plays I had ever sat in on, but it didn’t feel like it. The characters and the story kept making me want more. It was that good! I thought the play was well written well played and the actors really did an awesome job of grabbing my attention. The actors acting from the emotionally standpoint was very well played with the crying and you could even feel it during their soliloquy songs as if what was displayed in the musical actually happened to them which was very good. Also, the singing was very good, the actors’ vocals had good harmony pitch and volume making it tolerable. The audience laughed at the jokes and for some reason they clapped at the end of each scene but my knowledge of live plays are limited as it was my first one. Most of the audience stayed after the show to meet the actors and tell them what a good job they did.…

I went to the Minskoff Theatre in New York City expecting to be very bored. I had never been to a Broadway play, and The Lion King probably wouldn’t have been my first pick if left up to me, but my wife had wanted to see it since she was a little girl. When I went to get concessions before the play started, the concession worker asked me if I was excited about the show and when I didn’t seem too enthused she mentioned that the show had been going on for 14 years, so it must be good to keep running for that amount of time. She was right and I think the play version of The Lion King was far more enjoyable than the movie version.…

In my opinion, the play exceeded my expectations. I did not expect the actors to perform in a way that made me believe his or her conflict. The setting was well thought out and complimented the dialogue in a way that made me pay more attention to the conflict. The painting also added to the setting by focusing on the art aspect of the play. I also enjoyed the humor of the play.…
