Everybody recognizes that they have feelings however not every person comprehends emotions as an idea in which they control our identity, observations, and even good judgments. Inside Out exemplifies the five major feelings as characters that battle to control Riley's feelings in her regular day to day existence. The feeling Joy dominates Riley's feeling to the point that they are faced with a dilemma where Riley needs to move from the place where she grew up in Minnesota to San Francisco. In the film, Joy and Sadness get lost from the tower and anger, disgust, and fear are left in charge of Riley's feelings.

Sadness feels that she doesn't have a reason like the others in protecting Riley, and tries to help Joy.
