Welcome
Today we are going to be looking at just how much Jesus loves us and as you can tell by almost everything around you we are going to be using the movie Finding Nemo as an illustration. We have four major points today and to help you understand I put together little clips of the movie just in case you don’t remember or you haven’t watched it.
The first part: Disobedience Clip 1
As you saw in the clip Nemo had been told not to swim beyond the reef but he didn’t listen. You see I think a lot of us can relate to Nemo here as kids and sometimes even as adults we disobey our parents, but most importantly we also sometimes disobey God. God tries to tell us what is better for us but instead we turn around and ignore Him. …show more content…
Once we have found Jesus What are we supposed to do?
John 3:16-18 says
16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son. God gave his Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life. 17 God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world guilty, but to save the world through him. 18 He who believes in God’s Son is not judged guilty. He who does not believe has already been judged guilty, because he has not believed in God’s only Son.
Before we go any further lets see what happens to Nemo
Nemo took a step of faith he pretended to be belly up so he could get out of the tank and into a drain and that finally led him back to the ocean to be with his father
Now im not telling you to pretend like your dead and try to fit yourself in a drain but we do need to take a step of faith and
Admit. A person must admit to God that she is a sinner. She must be sorry for her sin and turn away from sinning.
Believe. A person must believe that Jesus is God's Son and that God sent Jesus to pay the penalty for sin.
Confess. A person must confess her faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
We do this by making a short prayer Romans 10:9
