Movenpick Hotels and Resorts is an international hotel brand, which is focused on business and conference properties as well as on holiday resorts. Movenpick Company is owned by two companies, which are Mövenpick Holding which has 66.7% and the Kingdom Group with 33.3%. Movenpick Company was established in 1948 as a restaurant in Zurich with a non-smoking policy and premium quality food experience. After 10 years the number of operations grew up to 8 properties and in 1966 the first hotel was opened. Within 3 years after launching the first hotel, the production of Movenpick ice-cream has started.
