Having been imprisoned from birth, but well taken care of, the only thing missing in his life was love. His mother dying in childbirth, left him empty and without any intimate attachments. Moravagine, after being freed from an asylum, grew to harbor an anger so great that he murdered young women wherever he went. He hated society and was intent on destroying life. As he neared his death, Moravagine, feverishly wrote of Earth’s destruction by the planet Mars. Just like the tool he used to rip open young women, Mars was the his final tool of destruction and murder.
