Modern day portrayals of Mountain Men show an accurate view of the way their lives were in reality. Manifest Destiny is one of the most historical events that took place during the 18th century, that involved people and groups moving from East to West. One of those groups were Mountain Men. These men risked their lives everyday to hunt animals and sell them for their fur. This may sound easy, but they faced animal attacks, starvation and harsh weather conditions. When analyzing the images of Mountain Men, one can see the animals they caught, the weapons they use and they type of clothing they wore.
