N-V Cougar Practice It was just another regular day to practice for the Niobrara-Verdigre Cougars at Niobrara. All of the Verdigre football players despised going over to Niobrara for practice. It was the usual ride over there with all of us talking about how school went that day, about football, or about other topics in the news. We would turn up the radio if a song came on that most of us could sing since we knew the song. It would seem sometimes that it seemed we were on the way to choir practice not football practice.…
Unforeseen difficulties at home and elsewhere led the United States to declare war on Great Britain. For instance, violation of U.S. neutrality influenced Congress to institute an embargo on trade. The British and French attempted to stop the United States from aiding the others while they were at war in 1803. So the U.S. had to deal with that inconvenience.…
Even if the shelter does decide to continue to not adopt out Pit Bulls, there are other options than euthanization. For instance, there are numerous rescue centers that will take in dogs deemed ‘vicious,’ like Pits Bulls, to keep them from being killed. One of these rescue centers is located in North Carolina. Fortitudine Vincimus Rescue Center, also known as “The Fort” was founded by Jake Gardner in 2012. According to Judi Brinegar’s article (2014), “Pit Bull Rescue Seeks Help,” “The Fort" is a nonprofit, no-kill rescue dedicated to alleviating the suffering of all animals, in particular the American Pit Bull Terrier”(Brinegar, para. 2).…

Ever since I was little, I’ve always wanted to help people. Being a Boy Scout gave me the opportunity to do so. When I was eight years old I joined the cub scouts which began my life long campaign of helping people. I started off learning to take the oath to serve the people weather it be by the organization or myself. I assisted by selling popcorn for charity organizations ( The San Antonio Food Bank and The Knights of Columbus) or for money that we needed for our camp out trips.…

They are the top predator in every ecosystem they inhabit. Until the 20th Century there were nine tiger subspecies that probably numbered over 100,000 animals.
