Spatial Distribution of the Disaster:
In the year 74 AD, 24th of August, a volcano named Mount Vesuvius erupted and caused mass destruction in Pompeii, Italy during Midday. The eruption lasted for more than 24 hours causing parts of the nearby environment to be negatively affected. According to figure number one, Mt Vesuvius is located in the Metropolitan City of Italy. The location of this particular point is 40.822383 latitude and 14.428906 longitude or 40°49′ N, 14°26′ E. Mt Vesuvius is known to be the only active volcano in Mainland Europe. It (Figure 1) has also created one of the biggest volcanic eruptions in it’s continent own continent. Towering at an outstanding 1 277 m or 1.277km in length. This volcano is known to demolish valley’s and places near it at an instant, due to it’s heavy and continuous lava flow when it has erupted. One of the most well known people was the emperor himself, Titus. Titus was the emperor of Rome for a total of two years, from 79 AD to 81 AD. Titus was willing to aid survivors in the aftermath of Mount Vesuvius’s eruption and helped many people who mourned. Titus was greedy with his economy but took his role as an emperor to aid citizens responsibly. Titus offered majority of his wealth to try and rebuild the buildings. Figure 4 presents a group sent by a man named Pliny the Elder called the Roman Navy, notified people around different places near Mt Vesuvius to evacuate when they saw the volcanic debris coming down from the sky.
