That’s why stereotypes are made, divisions between ethnics and cultures are established, and the attempt to make dynamic changes to get more people involved never really do change. It’s the same people in the same particular group who are involved in our school community. The only problem is: we can’t demand or force people to cooperate and get them involved; people are supposed to figure that out and act on their own. The only solution is to motivate and influence people demonstrated by their own peers in their social group and influence others outside their group to improve more participation of more and unfamiliar faces instead of the same and recognizable people.
Participation is a major part of this community and I want more involvement in our school community by different people, so that way it could be a safe and spirited place that will define the actual meaning of a diverse school. Instead of Asians participating in Asian cultural clubs, they could intermingle with Latino clubs without being singled out. Instead of being attached to the art programs, maybe expand and try athletic programs so each individual would not only represent one program, but represent other programs and develop an open-minded
