I am a first-generation college student from a Guatemalan immigrant family who left home at age 18, traveled four thousand miles’ cross country to obtain a four-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in International Relations. I was able to complete my degree in under four years. I was given the opportunity to study abroad in Florence Italy. Since then I have a hunger and desire to further my personal growth on an international stage.

I attended Florence University of Arts for a summer where I studied Visual Marketing. As a result, I have been privileged enough to have worked with various blue chip domestic organizations, such as the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Navarro Discount Pharmacy (now CVS). In these

I am a determined individual, hard worker who will go to all lengths in my power to become a more efficient and beneficial employee by constantly setting goals and using strong business acumen to achieve them. I will bring passion, motivation, dedication and diversity in all my work while offering fresh ideas and most importantly working hard on being the best at what I do. This will make me a valuable asset to the Mount Batten program and the sponsor company. What I truly look for to achieve out of this program is first to become a well-rounded individual and professional, secondly to acquire knowledge on current European business practices, management skills, strategic negotiation tactics, exposure and inside look on globalization and its challenge. A more comprehensive understanding of international finance and what it means for companies that become multi-national, how exchange rates and different regulations affect business as a whole. Finally, to gain an understanding and research on recent issues that have arisen in Asia such as Chinas fast growing an economy and what it means to its citizens. Overall, I wish to become a well-informed global student and professional who will take the knowledge acquired and apply it in real life business
