Persuasive Essay Motor vehicles have been a major step forward in a new form of transportation in 1885, and have continued to change for the better ever since. The car industry has changed from starting a car with a crank to pushing a button to start the car. As time goes on technology in cars will continue to advance and along with that is programs that allow cars to drive by themselves. Every vehicle should drive on it’s own without a person controlling the vehicle. This program in the car would be able to drive on it’s own without a person controlling the car, by using cameras and sensors to stay in between lanes of the road and keeping a safe distance between the other cars in front of you. Making every car drive on its’ own can save lives, conserve resources and allow for people to have time to do other things while getting to their destination. …show more content…
The world is quickly running out of fossil fuels to burn so it is very important that the world looks at every possible way to conserve fossil fuels. According to abcnews.go.com, America went through $160 billion in wasted time due to traffic and other reasons for the car to stop for periods of time. With all cars being programed to drive by itself cars all cars could prevent accidents and with no accidents, there wouldn’t be traffic in a stop-go situation. Another major factor for cars slowing down is to see what is happening in an accident or on the side of the road. Due to these drivers they will slow down and to slow down other cars just to get a better view of what is happening on the side of the road, however this can be eliminated by cars driving on their own. These cars would not slow down because there is something to see on the side of the road, but keep moving traffic. By cars not stopping or slowing down due to traffic or themselves, the world can save billions of
