She said that I was very conscientious about my work and quality of my work. During quality checks, I only had four errors in the eight week span which was another indication of the quality of my work. Having only four errors put me in the “clearly exceeded” section for the services standard. She mentioned that I was able to help our department accomplish our goals. Even with the increased number of payments, phone calls, work load etc, the department was able to get all the money in the bank each day. She was impressed with my ability to deliver outstanding customer service. This included providing outstanding customer service and minimizing the number of errors I made in day to day activities. I was focusing on reducing the number of errors I made to get to the “clearly exceeded” section of the performance review instead of the “exceeded” section. My performance in this area increased because I was able to increase my declarative knowledge of the system, which allowed me to better understand what it does internally. This allowed me to make fewer errors. Even though my performance started off in a very poor state, I ended on a high note by using what I had learned to perform on a very high level. I learned that performance management is a really important aspect to business. It is a good way to track individual employee performance as wells as spot weaknesses that need to be improved. Performance management improves the performance of employees, which will also improve the performance of the
