All important factors leading to a dedicated service member. Specifically, a Soldier of your organization. What makes a Soldier dedicated to your unit? A feeling of being needed. Feeling important to the mission. As if the Soldier has a say so in the everyday operations. Also, responsibility and learning new ways to accomplish tasks or learning a more sophisticated technical aspect of the job. Feeling as if you are part of a team that always accomplishes tasks or makes time hacks. Feeling important leads to the service member pride and enthusiasm to be and maintain the “best” status. The challenge would be how do you get an otherwise non-dedicated Soldier to want to be dedicated to the organization? Simple… give them what they want, in terms of felling like they are the best thing that could happen to the unit. Give the opportunities to feel responsible, do not micro manage any mission or task you give them. Allow them to make the decisions even if on a small scale. The more a Soldier feels that they contribute to the success of a unit. The more dedicated they will be, which increases
