Mother's Age Demographics In The Health Services

Improved Essays
I am choosing Topic 1, Mother’s Age Demographics, in the Health Services and Nursing Scenario because it is a subject that interests me particularly, and it developed a very interesting discussion between my classmates and I. In fact, several different influencing factors were discussed in depth in order to analyze the data provided by the assignment. I would think that a hospital would keep into consideration the age of the mothers in order to make informed decisions about a possible expansion of the prenatal wing because some mothers are more likely to need additional prenatal care than others, thus brig more money into the hospital. In fact, the age of the mothers should tell me which mothers are more inclined to suffer from prenatal complications.

In this interpretation paper, I wanted to talk about “On American Motherhood” the speech President Theodore Roosevelt gave to the National Congress of Mothers in March 13, 1905. When I first read the speech, I jotted down points I either agreed, found interesting and disagree with. Everyone has their own opinion on this speech and here is my conclusion. This speech was giving in front of the National Congress of Mother and it was intended for the lower and middle class of those times. He was referring this to them, because he was seeing the lost in what he called traditional families, were dad goes to work and mom stays home to take care of the babies and do the house work.…

Cover Letter Through my essay, I evaluate Lynn O’Shaughnessy’s article titled “8 Reasons Not to Get a Business Degree”. Although she gives eight reasons, some were very similar or relatable, and all were relatively short, so I combined them when making my counterarguments and establishing my position. Many of her statements were backed up with weak, or even falsely represented data, so I used reliable sources with effective statistics and facts to support my counterargument and establish new points. When completing this assignment, I came across a few constraints that made my research slightly more difficult.…

The topic of my term paper is Domestic Violence among Native Americans on tribal land/reservations. My study question is “What are the causes of domestic violence on reservations. This is significant because it is known that domestic violence is a big issue on reservations and knowing the causes can help to lower domestic violence rates on reservations. Having awareness of the issues of domestic violence and cause may give a better understanding of stereotypes of Native Americans and provide facts on the accuracy of the stereotypes. It is also important because “The National Congress of American Indians declared violence against Native Americans, particularly those living on tribal lands, as the most critical issue faced by Native Americans”…

I found there to be a lot of important and useful information in this chapter and I would agree that knowing the demographics in which an organization operates is vital. The demographics of an area can make or break the financial viability of an organization. As you stated in your example, the services that are needed for a low socioeconomic area are different than a more affluent area. This can be a major setback for an organization that invests in services that they are unable to provide. This was a great example that provided to demonstrate how important health status, economics and demographics are interrelated to an organization.…

Three key points for my selected topic are: ratio of nurse to patient, nurse’s burnout, and patient safety. Ratio of nurse to patient supports my argument because my main goal is to lower this ratio. It supports my argument because the administrators do not staff the units properly, so they to give each nurse more patients to care for to compensate for the lack of staff. Nurses burnout supports my argument because when a unit is under staff, RN's will have more work to do and more responsibility, which makes them feel overwhelmed.…
