Good evening ladies and gentlemen I have the privilege of awarding one of the highest awards of the night, Mother of the Year, this award as designed to recognize a mother that has distinguished outstanding characteristics on this journey that some women do not have the privilege to take part in, due to different forms of illnesses, but wish for their opportunity, and on the other hand, some women get gets this opportunity at motherhood and takes advantage of it in the worst ways and ends up missing out on the glories of raising their children. The winners of this award in the past have distinguished characteristics of a modern- day supermom. They go above and beyond the daily life regimen to make sure that children are taken care of. Some

Tyson has opened her doors for the hungry and the homeless, all the while never missing a step in making sure that everyone in need was well taken care of. She has one graduate from the University of South Alabama and one set of twins following along. At home, she has the younger set of twins who are currently in the eighth grade where they are honor students in an under privilege school system. Also at home is her oldest son who was diagnosed with a mental illness early in life which caused a certain amount of neuron damages to his brain cells, to some they may think this prevented him from living the life of a normal child. But, instead of this mother getting angry and upset she instead took on these illnesses head on and provided the best life possible for her son and refuse for him to be treated any different than the others. With determination, she got her eldest son through high school so he too could receive a diploma and feel successful. This mother has been through obstacles that has only made her more head strong and determined never letting her children see her down.
