I continuously wondered about the enigmatic setting I got myself into. I pinched my nose shut, slightly held onto the ledge, and kept going. Half-way through, I faltered as I began to see the ground sink. I kept afloat, although every part of me felt like sinking. My mettle was put to the test. I coughed and swallowed, entertained and pummeled at the same time by my own choices. Then, everything cohered once I upon reaching the end. There may not have been an applause, but my accolade of achievement spoke from the coach. “We’ll work on improvements,” she commented. Improvements. That word stuck with me.
Now, I hear the applause. I glance at the award I have just received: “Most Improved.” I gleam with a beatific grin, reminiscing my near-drowning
