I believe that the most powerful statement in the Declaration of Independence is the statement that says “The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over these states.” I feel this statement is one of the most powerful in the Declaration because at the time of the Declaration of Independence being written, the King of Britain was in almost complete control of the United States. The American government did not like this because we wanted to be free and let everyone have equal rights. The king refused to approve of the American laws that were made for the public and safety needs of the people. He would not let his governors
