The World’s Most Powerful Leadership Principle—How to Become a Servant Leader, by James C. Hunter laid out many virtues and moral ethics when he defined what a servant leader is. I’ve noticed that the scenarios presented in Mr. Hunter’s book are kind of similar to the assignments given at the UCF Community Care Center. Being able to use this book as a guide has helped me how to approach different situations including the decisions I make in my life. Three powerful qualities of servant leadership that grasp my attention are love, character, and motivation. These ethical assets revolve around commitment.
The essence of leadership consists of love. There are many types of love to be considered. Everyone is important including the patients. I have grown to appreciate every family member and my close friends. Also, I developed a passion of caring for patients. Thus, patients who wait for a long time is not acceptable in building patient satisfaction. Working at Publix has taught me a whole new level of kindness. We are bound to help others

Love holds one of the strongest aspect of portraying in communication and emotions. Character is also built upon love which controls the poise, discipline, and perseverance in us and others. Motivation is the performance that leaders want others to believe and do the right thing. Most of the books I read are mainly fiction, but this particular book by Mr. Hunter is quite intriguing. He is very knowledgeable and tells different experiences throughout his path by explaining the meanings and qualities of servant leadership. Though reading this book once doesn’t make me an instant leader. I’m well aware that it takes tons of practice of developing the skill of leadership.
