The characters in the show Noah and Saskia are represented well, as they show honest depictions of typical teenage behaviour, which the audience can relate to dramatically to as the intended viewers are supposed to be in that age range. Professor Rini spoke in non scientific terms of what my strengths were. But the question must be asked, is there evidence to actually support his premise regarding my strengths. In Primal Leadership we learned that the best leaders, “are likely to have a knack for acting as a limbic attractor, exerting a palpable force on the emotional brains of people around him/her.” Additionally, the book goes on to crystalize Professor Rini’s words to me, “even when leaders were not talking, they were more carefully watched than anyone else in the group.” This book taught me that many of the things that I felt, were actually real scientific methods, that enable leaders to become more effective.…

“The virtue approach focuses both on the freedom and duty of the person to form their own character, but also how that character is shaped positively and negatively by one’s social environment” (Bates 83). I wanted to begin with this quote because I think it is the best way to summarize the virtue approach which is something I had never even heard of before taking the Experiential Education class. However, just because I had never heard the term ‘virtue approach’ does not mean that it had not been a part of my life: I just had never heard it be named. Rather, unknowingly, my environment and the adult influences in my life shaped the virtues that I see as being valuable. By gaining a better understanding of the virtue approach, I have been able…
