I think the first most important event in U.S History is the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration took place on July 4th, 1776 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. This announced that the 13 colonies regarded themselves as thirteen free colonies. It practically summed up the colonies motivation to become independent. Also, it confirmed an alliance between the U.S and the French. This document also helped the U.S get French's help in the war against Britain. The Revolutionary War comes to a close third. This war was fought between 1775-1783. The Revolutionary War is also known as the war of independence. This war simply began with a confrontation between the British troops and the local militia in Lexington and Concord. Most men between the

This particular war was fought between the Northern and Southern states. It took place in 1861-1865 all over what was then known as the U.S. During the Civil War Abraham Lincoln was the president. The issue of slavery and central power had recently divided the United States. It began when some of the Southern Troops bombarded Fort Sumter, South Carolina. However, though the Southern attacked the Northern troops had more equipment than the South. This caused the North side to win. 9/11 is my third because it greatly impacted U.S history and so many lives. 9/11 took place on September ninth, 2011. What took place that day will never be forgotten. Early that morning 19 men hijacked 4 fuel loaded planes. A total of 2,977 people were killed. This has been known as the worst terrorist attack in U.S history. THe time between the first attack and the falling of the world trade centers was about 102 minutes. The assassination of Abraham Lincoln was also a very important part of U.S History. Lincoln was assassinated on April 14 1845. Lincoln only had one bodyguard who was not at his post when lincoln got shot. Earlier that morning Lincoln had created the secret service. However, even though they may not have kept him alive they later saved him technically. They saved Lincoln's body from getting stolen in 1876. Even though Lincoln was shot in his head he did not die immediately. He was taken across the street where he
