Some of the most important compromises made were; The Great Compromise, The Three-Fifths compromise, and how the President is elected. The Great Compromise was made because some people wanted one vote for each state in Congress, whereas others wanted it based on size/population. It effected in the resulting Federal government in the way that the small states got equal representation in the Senate. The Three-Fifths compromise was important because since Congress was based upon population, the states that allowed slavery were obviously more populated, thus equaling more representatives.
