Although it may seem strange, you are similar to many characters in many stories. Just like characters in book and stories, we have many traits and characteristics that describe ourselves, what makes us, us. Being related to characters stories may not seem normal, but since people and characters are so alike, it is normal. Authors include these characters to interest the reader. Three authors, in particular, have developed characters to keep readers intrigued. Richard Connell created Rainsford; a man who is determined to find his was out of being murdered; Guy De Maupassant created Matilde; a self-centered woman who doesn't pay attention to what she has ad only focuses on what she does not have; James Hurst created Doodle; a disabled boy who has one of the biggest hearts imaginable. His skill is apparent when the game is being played and Rainsford sets up traps. As Rainsford is waiting quietly in the tree, author Richard Connell includes, “These stakes he planted in the bottom of the out with the points sticking up.” (Connell 20) By setting up a trap, we learn that Rainsford knows what he is doing and he is going to survive. Thinking about setting up traps even shows his skillfulness. For many, building a trap wouldn’t even come to mind. Another example showing Rainsford skillfulness is towards the end of the story when Rainsford is preparing to kill Rainsford. While Rainsford and General Zaroff are conversing about feeding the hounds, Rainsford says, “Get ready, General Zaroff.” (Connell 22) Rainsford hints at the fat that he is going to kill Rainsford, but doesn't quite sa when or how, proving he is a skilled survivor. Rainsford looks and acts skilled this situation by making apan using his intergenic and survival skills. Overall, Rainsford is very skilled. He survived the game, he defeated General

Similar to World of Warcraft, the cultural value of class is prevalent in the gameplay of Diablo III. Diablo III has fictional classes for each of the characters. These classes do not correspond with the classes present in the modern society. The classes in Diablo III are as followed: a barbarian, crusader, demon hunter, monk, witch doctor, or wizard (Williams). In addition, instead of being classified by the amount of wealth the character obtains, Diablo III classes differ by the character’s attributes.…

How is it possible for two completely different characters in a story to form similarities? On occasions, these two characters can be the antagonists and protagonists, or even some of the more static characters that do less to influence the direction of the story. Dimmesdale and Chillingworth, two of the characters from The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, would be an excellent example of this. Furthermore, Dimmesdale is a pastor that communes for the local community and has done something wrong with his feeling of power. Accordingly, Chillingworth is a married man that left his wife for the native Indians, coming back just in time to see his wife has sinned just as he has.…

He didn’t want to take part in the hunt, but he knew he had to do whatever it took to defeat Zaroff because he didn’t want to die such a shameful death, but more importantly, beat Zaroff at his own game. Trying to maintain his civility, Rainsford had to play Zaroff’s game in order to survive. This conflict between man versus man was very tense. Both men wanted to deem themselves as the ultimate hunter and did whatever they could to win the hunt. Coming from two men sitting at the dinner table eating, now, to two men in the jungle trying to kill each other is very dramatic and illustrates the overwhelming conflict between man versus man in “The Most Dangerous Game.”…

In today’s world, many people get involved in activities that make them happy, but for one man, this enterprise not only gives the man pleasure, but ends the life of another human. In the story “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell, General Zaroff, the antagonist, is a cold, heartless man who couldn’t care less about anyone or anything but his hunting and own joy. General Zaroff spent his life hunting and killing, but when the thrill of killing an animal was nowhere to be found, he turned to killing men, and from there General Zaroff became a cold and heartless murderer. “I hunt the scum of the earth-sailors from tramp ships-lascars, blacks, chinese, whites, mongrels…”(Connell 225). Kill or be killed is the only morality among the dogs of the Klondike, as Buck realizes from the moment he steps off the boat and watches the violent death of his friend Curly. The wilderness is a cruel, uncaring world, where only the strong prosper. It is, one might say, a perfect Darwinian world, and London’s depiction of it owes much to Charles Darwin, who proposed the theory of evolution to explain the development of life on Earth and envisioned a natural world defined by fierce competition for scarce resources. The term often used to describe Darwin’s theory, although he did not coin it, is “the survival of the fittest,” a phrase that describes Buck’s experience perfectly. In the old, warmer world, he might have sacrificed his life out of moral considerations; now, however, he abandons any such considerations in order…

When I think of my personality, I think of humor and a loving person who is hardworking. Despite when speaking of fictional characters who are most like me, I believe three come to mind these three characters represent me as a person in different ways.
