Benjamin Franklin once said, “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” Although at first it might be hard to set a goal, it is very crucial to strive for somethin. Setting a goal is important because it motivates people to strive for what they want, controls future, and gives personal satisfaction.

Moses Austin is a very significant, historical figure in Texas history,who has a goal of bringing In American settlers to Texas. Although he never achieved his goal before his death, he was still able to gain permission from Spain. Even though he didnt acheive his goal, he still tried his best to bring in American settlers, but sinve Moses made a goal, it gave him something to strive for.
